I replace Basic Attacking with Ilgrants because the basic attack feels slow and clunky to use, and honestly Safoie Type-0 is better than Schwarze Katze as both a gap closer, distance maker, and a much better to control Iframe. The Only PA's I use are Volkermord, Shifted Volkermord, Eisen Flugel, Shifted Eisen Flugel, and Rufkonzert. You are pretty much invincible for 90% of the encounter because of how often you are casting spells and using Stealth Charge, so dodging serves more as a DPS boost rather than a necessity.
Use Gigrants Type-0 for Mobbing, and detonate markers if you're running low on PP (Not a problem if you have high PP like 230+). With the way I play Phantom, I close Distance with Safoie Type-0 ,cast Ilgrants at point blank, focus on the enemy's attack to dodge for Phantom Bullet Proc, and keep my Ramegid and Shift PA up. I play with an Xbox Controller if it makes any difference to you. Other than that, you can cast Ramegid Type-0, and Shift PA Volkermord, it's easy passive damage. The only thing better than Ilgrants (From my experience) Is using Volkermord on a weakpoint, that thing hits like 5 times per second for like 30k+ per hit if you have good affixes, match the elemental weakness, and are hitting the weakpoint. Ilgrants is by far the best Tech to use, especially with Tech Short Charge (From what I heard, you can pretty much ignore an enemy's elemental weakness and still do optimal damage with it) You want to craft it for Power (preferably try to get close to a -17 speed reduction for it). Really wishing I had a training dummy at this point just to get an idea of what I was doing right or wrong. Any suggested PAs or Shift PAs? Or anyone have any guides visual or written that I can take a read/watch and get some fresh perspective. So what I be doing, any phantom weapon, when the boss is faceplanted waiting for me to punish him with something. I'm not really a good judge at what 'seems' strong and quick math made me think I was doing things wrong or just second guessing myself. But weirdly it was each time cores were exposed for awhile I felt a bit at a loss of what to do or what phantom PAs I should be trying bring out the most damage. I felt fine during the hands and dragon head parts. But it did help identify some weak points I feel I need to fix. Did it as Phantom, but not max level yet so I know that will contribute a bit more. My time was bad, but I was happy to beat it regardless. Took on and beat Solo Mother & Deus for the first time.
